Three BIG financial issues that can impact your house build: Cost overruns, holdbacks, & repairs

Building a custom house in Ontario can be complicated and it certainly comes with its fair share of unexpected expenses. In this video I talk through the 3 major areas impacting my budget, and how you can plan in advance to avoid the financial struggles I find myself in.

I’ll talk about the3 main areas impacting my finances:
Cost overruns, mostly due to higher winter construction costs.
Money holdback, including an overview of the Construction Lien Act.
And I’ll explore repairs and finishing costs associated with a new build.
